LIMBANG: A RM17,000 grant has been approved for Kampung Buluh Balui.
“Of the amount, RM15,000 is for the building a stage in the village hall while RM2,000 is for the purchase of fans. Another RM3,000 will be given to the village Women’s Bureau,” Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang said during a Women’s Bureau Day celebration with the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) on Sunday.
He also told the villagers that the state government under the leadership of Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg will continue the struggles of the late Pehin Sri Adenan Satem in regaining Sarawak’s eroded rights.
Meanwhile, Paulas urged the JKKK to hold more community-based activities to enhance unity among the villagers.
“Programme such as the Women’s Bureau Day celebration with the JKKK is one good example,” he pointed out.
He added that activities such as aerobics, tele-matches and futsal are also good as they can promote healthy lifestyles among the villagers.
Also present was Paulas’s wife Mary Sindang, Batu Danau Service Centre special officer Adison Langgar and Penghulu Ekit Awang.
