KUCHING: The management and staff of Kuching Branch KPJ Specialist Hospital celebrated their Ramadan with eighteen children from Laman Kaseh home here yesterday.
Founded in 2017 by a non-profit organisation, Laman Kaseh is a home for orphans from poor families. These children are from various races and aged between nine and nineteen years old.
“We want to make these children feel they are part of the celebration, that’s why we are organising this event,” said KPJ Kuching Branch general manager Nurhazimah Mahat, adding they also gave the children ‘duit raya’.
Besides giving them money to spend for Raya, the children were brought through several fun activities, and of course the breaking of fast.
She said KPJ held many activities under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme which it never failed to carry out on a yearly basis.
