KUCHING: The city of Kuching has left a lasting impression on two Japanese content creators.

In a 25 minute-long video posted on YouTube entitled ‘First time Sarawak..I want to keep coming back here’, the couple, Jimmy and Ichang, described Kuching as a very beautiful town.

The couple who had lived in Malaysia for several years visited Sarawak for the first time and took the opportunity to feast on several local delicacies here.

In the video, they described Kuching as a lovely, walkable city and different from Kuala Lumpur, which is very fast-paced, whereas Kuching is more laidback.

“We were walking around the city all day, very laidback town,” said the couple.

“As it was a short stay, we didn’t get to see what Sarawak has to offer such as the nature. We hope to see the ‘orang utans’ in our next visit to Sarawak,” they said.

Among the local delicacies the couple enjoyed were Laksa Sarawak, beef noodle, ‘Teh C’ special (three-layered tea), ‘Aloo Gobi’ (Indian dish comprising cauliflower and potato), ‘kek lapis’ and ‘midin’.

The couple also spent some time exploring the Borneo Cultures Museum to learn more about the culture in the state.
