Kuching FA stay unbeaten to top Group A

KUCHING: The Kuching FA squad continue to keep their unbeaten record in the 2018 FAM Cup campaign.
With the latest feat, the Sarawak representative defeat Shahzan Muda squad 1-0 at State Stadium, Petra Jaya on Sunday afternoon.
The winning goal of the game was scored by an experienced striker, Mohamad Shahfitri Salim in the 87th minute.
It was the third victory of Shahrizan Sahari’s squad in four games to-date to maintain their top position in Group A with 10 points.
“This three points are very valuable to us, the victory we earned were from the hard work of all players during the game,” said Kuching FA coach, Shahrizan Sahari delightedly.
Shahrizan admitted that his side have been heavily opposed by the visitor players.
According to Shahrizan, his players have more chances to score but some attempts were foiled by the visitors’ goalkeeper.
“Our players have about three to four chance to score goals, but the attempts were capably saved by their onform goalkeeper,” said Shahrizan.
Meanwhile, team manager Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman was delighted with the success of the players.
“Congratulations to all players because took the homeground advantage to beat Shahzan Muda,” said Fazzrudin.
The Kuching FA squad will next face MOF FC at Inspen Bangi Mini Stadium on April 8.
