KUCHING: Kuching Football Association (Kuching FA) striker Joseph Kallang Tie will not be fielded against  Armed Forces FC in the M3 League at Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya here today.

According to Kuching FA head coach Ideris Untong, Joseph, who contributed two goals against Ultimate two weeks ago, was excluded in the first eleven due to an injury on his left thigh. With the absence of Joseph, a minor reshuffle involving the position of attackers and defenders will be carried out, he said, adding that changes need to be made as an early preparation to defeat Felda United FC in the FA Cup second round here next Tuesday.

“Maybe we will put him (Joseph) in the second half as he is very much needed to overcome Felda United FC,” the head coach added.

Ideris said Joseph’s absence in the starting lineup today will not be a big issue because there are other candidates who are able to perform his role.

“The interesting thing about this team is that we have many players who can play in the starting lineup, so we have many options,” he said.
