KUCHING: Residents of the city are encouraged to attend the monthly flag-raising ceremony of Ibu Pertiwi, taking place on Sunday (Sept 8) at Dataran Ibu Pertiwi.
The ceremony, which will begin at 8am, will be officiated by Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
Featuring a formal honour guard parade, the event honours the sovereignty of Sarawak, with the Ibu Pertiwi flag symbolising Sarawak’s pride and identity.
The flag, with its striking red, black and yellow colours, not only represents Sarawak’s greatness but also serves as a powerful emblem of unity and strength.
