KUCHING: Kuching SUPP announced on Tuesday (Oct 25) that it would hold a Unity Night dinner on Nov 6, co-chaired by Jong Yean Pin and Eric Tay Tze Kok.
The dinner aimed to unite senior and youth party members as they prepare for the upcoming parliamentary polls, read a press statement.
Tay said SUPP would be facing one of the opposition’s strongman in Kuching and “only with the unity of all three branches in Kuching can we stand a chance of winning back the trust of the voters.”
“Imagine telling our voters that DAP, whom they had voted and supported for four consecutive terms (18 years) had brought about little to no advancement for Kuching…the economy and development had not been improved under them,” he added.
“We, the Sarawakians love Sarawak, and only by supporting local political parties can we get back the power to give Sarawak a chance to change, to give Kuching a hope to improve from its backward status and to make Kuching’s future vibrant,” he said.
The dinner will be held in the Grand Riverine Ballroom, Jalan Petanak here from 6.30pm. Dinner vouchers are currently available to be purchased. Those interested can call 082-244633.
