KUCHING: The audition for Kuching’s Got Talent 2022 will be held at the MBKS auditorium early July, in conjunction with Kuching Festival.
The semi-finals and final will be held on Aug 13 (Saturday) and Aug 14 (Sunday) respectively.
“Cash prizes amounting to RM22,600 await the winners. There is also a Facebook Most-Liked Award for supporters to vote via the Kuching Got Talent 2022 FB Fan Page,” a statement said.
The voting process will be closed after the performance from the last group in the Dance Category on Aug 14.
Besides local industry experts, music producers, singers, music talents, dance choreographers, managing directors from recording companies will form a panel of judges to judge the competition.
The categories include under 12 singing where the winner will receive a trophy and RM1,500. The first and second runner-ups will receive RM1,000 and RM500 respectively, and trophies. The consolation prizes are RM100 and trophies.
The over 13 singing category winner will receive RM3,000 while second and third get RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively. The consolation prizes are RM100 and trophies.
In the under 12 dancing category, the winner will receive RM3,000 while second and third get RM2,000 and RM1,000 respectively. RM100 goes to the consolation winners.
In the over 13 dancing category, the winner, runner-up and third place get RM2,000, RM1,500 and RM800 respectively. Consolation winners get RM100.
