Wee and MBKS staff, including councillors, were at KMC Flats, Jalan Padungan here to assist senior citizens apply for the card yesterday.

“We already have the names of the tenants in KMC Flats…about 150 to 200 of them are eligible for the card.

“The reason why we chose KMC Flats was (and not just because it’s under MBKS) also to ensure that they (tenants) know about the beneficial policies established (by the state government),” he said.

Wee hoped that by MBKS doing this, elderly tenants would not be left out and that they would get to enjoy the benefits that came with the card.
