MIRI: Thirty-four members of Persatuan Seni Kuntau Pukulan 7 Miri have been presented with certificates after successfully completing a two-week training session in Lutong on Sunday.

Present at the closing ceremony was Transport Minister Datuk Lee Kim Shin, who is also Senadin assemblyman.

In his brief speech, Lee congratulated the newly formed association which has been established since July 2020.

He also reminded the participants to take care of their own health and safety, especially during this recovery movement control order (RMCO) period.

“Comply with the standard operating procedure (SOP), practise social distancing, and wash your hands regularly,” he said.

Lee added that kuntau (a type of martial arts) is not only good for one’s health, but it also teaches self-defense and instils self-discipline.
