KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi (Dr) Abang Johari Tun Datuk Abang Openg yesterday received a courtesy call from the Lembaga Amanah Kebajikan Masjid Negeri Sarawak (LAKMS) led by its Chairman Tan Sri Datuk Amar Bujang Mohd Nor at Chief Minister’s Office, Wisma Bapa Malaysia, Petra Jaya in Kuching.
During the call Abang Johari handed over a letter of appreciation to Mohd Safwan Mahli, a teacher at Hafiz Maahad Tahfiz Tun Abdul Rahman Ya’kub (MATTARY) who emerged as Qari Champion during recent the Sarawak State Level Quran Recital 2018.
At the same time Abang Johari was also briefed on the latest development on the construction of Baitulmakmur II in Petra Jaya by an official of LAKMS.
