KUALA LUMPUR: Lan Berambeh Anak Sarawak (Lan Berambeh) is more than just a gathering; it embodies unity, harmony, and shared love among Sarawakians, says National Unity Minister Datuk Seri Aaron Ago Dagang.

The National Unity Minister said that over 6,500 people attended this year’s Lan Berambeh, including Sarawak’s top leaders.

“May the spirit of unity and harmony among us, the people of Sarawak, remain strong and continue to grow for a prosperous and thriving Sarawak,” he said during his speech at the Lan Berambeh dinner here, last night (Oct 19).

He highlighted that this year’s Lan Berambeh saw more than 60 booths and various programmes such as Sidang Siswa Sarawak, Kenyalang Speaks, and the Pocket Show.

“The highlight of the event was the Sarawak Agenda, a town hall session with Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, where our leader addressed and responded to all the concerns raised by Sarawakians living in Peninsular Malaysia,” he added.

He also expressed his gratitude for Abang Johari’s leadership, noting that Sarawak has not only strengthened its position within Malaysia but also gained recognition internationally.

“Sarawak has achieved numerous milestones, particularly under the leadership of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

“However, none of these accomplishments would have been possible without political stability, unity, and racial harmony. It is this foundation of stability and unity that has allowed us to reclaim Sarawak’s rights and build a stronger economy,” he added.

The dinner programme was graced by Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

Also in attendance were Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian among others.
