He pointed out that the road will benefit all the people in Sungai Menuan and Sungai Ibau. All these years, the sole mode of transportation was by river which was very costly.

He said the road will shorten the travel distance and landowners could also develop their land to add value. He added the land is ideal for cash crop cultivation such as pepper, rubber and other local fruits as ‘dabai’ and ‘isau’.

He also advised the locals to thrash out any issues arising to be resolved amicably through consultation so that the project will be completed on time.

Calling for a support on the Sarawak Parties Alliance (GPS), Jamit said, “these road projects was financed by GPS. We are committed to construct roads and bridges at rural settlements and provide connectivity”.
He said that Datuk Alexander (MP Kapit) and he have worked hard for the people and urged them to support a GPS candidate in the upcoming state election.
