PADAWAN: Eighteen landowners from Kampung Bengoh Rais received documentation certificates under the Dayak Bidayuh National Association’s (DBNA) Land Documentation Project.

The certificates confirmed the surveying of their Native Customary Rights (NCR) land.

Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Dr. Jerip Susil urged Mambong constituents to prioritise surveying and documenting their NCR land.

“Land documentation is crucial to safeguard our native land rights. I commend Kampung Bengoh’s Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) for their dedication to this cause,” he said during the Certificate Presentation ceremony at Kampung Bengoh Rais yesterday (Nov 17).

Dr. Jerip, who is also the Mambong assemblyman, added that he was willing to provide financial assistance, but villages should first prepare cost estimates.

He also announced plans to develop Kampung Bengoh and Kampung Danu as agricultural areas, specifically for hill paddy cultivation.

“A RM14 million allocation from the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) will support this project,” he added.
