BETONG: A landslide has affected about 200 residents of longhouse Rumah Ginddy, Nyemungan, Lubok Antu here.
Betong Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) received a distress call at 9.21am this morning and deployed firefighters to the location.
Upon arrival, they found that the landslide occurred from the kitchen area of the longhouse.
There are about 200 occupants in the 31-door longhouse.
Firefighters have informed the respective people’s representative about the incident to enlist their help in canvassing for donations to temporarily cover the affected parts.
Residents were also advised not to enter the area in the meantime.
