KUCHING: Runners are reminded that registration for the Sarawak Energy Isthmus Run 2024, scheduled for Aug 11 at The Isthmus, here, is closing soon.
This year’s event is aimed at fostering a greater sense of community and will be held in conjunction with Kuching City Day.
“As the community event approaches, runners and supporters looking forward to taking part can anticipate a variety of engaging side events in addition to the run itself,” it said through a statement on today (June 28).
“Now in its 9th edition since its launch in 2013, the Isthmus Run will feature a lively carnival with various activities for everyone, including energetic Zumba sessions held every 30 minutes before each flag-off.”
The future of sustainable technology and green transportation will be highlighted with a hydrogen and electric vehicle showcase featured at the event.
Guests will have the opportunity to explore and learn more about these advancements.
“As part of the carnival, refreshments from a selection of food trucks offering food and beverages will also be available for purchase.
“For a more rewarding experience after the run, lucky runners have the chance to win attractive prizes worth up to RM10,000 in the lucky draw segment.
“Additionally, Sarawak Energy will be donating the proceeds from all registrations to selected charitable bodies, supporting their ongoing good deeds.
“Runners are reminded that flag-offs for the run will be at 4.30am for the 21km Half Marathon, 6am for the 10km Run and 6.45am for the 5km Run.”
