SEMATAN: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari credited his predecessor Pehin Sri Adenan Satem for successfully requesting and obtaining approval from the previous federal government to add the Telok Melano-Sematan portion into the plans for the toll free Pan Borneo Highway project.
The Telok Melano-Sematan alignment was not part of the initial plans of the Pan Borneo mega project but Adenan convinced the previous BN government to approve the project.
Speaking at the launch of the Sarawak Pan Borneo Highway for the Telok Melano-Sematan alignment here yesterday, Johari also thanked former works minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for their part in approving the project.
