KUCHING: The Sarawak Lawn Bowls team continues to showcase outstanding performance in the Lawn Bowls arena, achieving significant success in several men’s singles categories.
In a match that took place today, Azizie Suip redeemed his previous loss in a game against Muhamad Ayup Mohd, an athlete from Pahang, in the Men’s Singles B2 Group G category.
This time, he secured an extraordinary victory by defeating Samsudin Mohd Bashah from Perak with a decisive score of 21-0.
This win strengthens Azizie’s position to advance to the next round.
Meanwhile, Rustam Effendy Umar, in the same category, also put on an impressive display, defeating Johor’s Mohd Noor Hafizan Ahmad Jais with a score of 17-5.
In the Men’s Singles B7 Group J category, Mohamad Shukri Twkino also claimed victory by defeating Mohamad Ammirul Fadzil Yusof from Perak.
He triumphed over his opponent with a score of 21-12, proving that Sarawak remains highly competitive in this event.
However, in the Men’s Singles B6 Group F category, Nischal Nicholas Bujang once again had to concede defeat, losing 9-17 to Johor’s Mohd Hamdan Sidek.
Overall, the performance of the Sarawak team in several lawn bowls categories is commendable, with several impressive victories achieved.
