KUCHING: New Sarawak Tribune yesterday interviewed some varsity students who received help via the Early Learning Assistance (BAP) courtesy of Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR). The following are their comments.
Emelsha Jeburie Abol, Sibu (UNIMAS student)
“I am very grateful to be one of the recipients of this Early Learning Assistance (BAP) because it can definitely ease our financial burden at this time. What is for sure, I will use this money to pay off the deferred fees and cover daily expenses on campus. Thank you, Yayasan Bank Rakyat (YBR).”
Sebastian Delon Roy Allan, Kuching (UNIMAS student)
I feel lucky to be able to receive this BAP because there is no denying that in this difficult situation, I am facing financial issues; and my parents’ income is also less stable. So, financial aid like this will definitely help me with my expenses on campus.
Nurizzati Asyikin Misdin, Sabah (UNIMAS student)
“Of course, help like this is very helpful to us as students; in facing financial challenges at this time I am also looking for a part-time job to get extra income. Therefore, I hope that more agencies can come forward with such assistance because there are still many of our friends who suffer the same fate.
Nazhatul Aida Yusani, Bintulu (UiTM student)
“This assistance is very meaningful to me, as a student we really need money to finance studies and daily expenses at the university. I hope that this kind of help can be extended to other fellow students. Thank you YBR for caring for students like us.”
