MIRI: Sarawak Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin attended a thanksgiving ceremony at the Hai Long Si Temple, Krokop here on Tuesday (Jan 25), which was held to celebrate Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s (GPS) victory in the 12th Sarawak Election.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the Senadin assemblyman said GPS’ victory was due to the strong support and prayers of the people who continued to believe in GPS’ ability to govern Sarawak.

“The Hai Long Si Temple community has prayed for safety, smoothness, health, and good weather conditions on polling day,” he said when met at the ceremony.

He expressed his gratitude for the initiative of the temple as well as other houses of worship such as mosques, surau, and so on which had prayed for the victory of GPS.

Also present were Pujut assemblyman and Miri City mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang as well as Chia Kar Furng, who was representing Piasau assemblyman and Assistant Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew.
