MIRI: The distribution of bubur lambuk in Sarawak serves as a meaningful gesture to foster unity among the various races in the community.
“This traditional dish brings people together, regardless of their cultural or ethnic backgrounds, creating a sense of togetherness and solidarity,” said Minister for Transport, Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.
He pointed out that by participating in the preparation and distribution of bubur lambuk, individuals from different races can share a common experience and bond over their shared love for food.
“This act of unity not only strengthens the social fabric of the community but also promotes understanding and respect for diversity.”
Lee highlighted the significant role of distributing bubur lambuk in promoting harmony and cooperation among the diverse races in Sarawak.
He was met recently after distributing bubur lambuk at Kampung Pujut Tanjong Batu. The programme was hosted by Kampung Pujut Tanjong Batu’s Neighbourhood Watch Areas (KRT).
