THE state government was requested to consider establishing an agency to further speed up the infrastructure development in Lembah Rejang areas.
Shafiee Ahmad (GPS-Daro) stated that the agency is necessary because the area is well populated.
“Some places still experience lack of basic infrastructures such as roads, electricity and water supply.
“With the proposed agency established, it can plan and conduct infrastructure development better and efficiently,” he told the august House when debating on the state Budget 2020 yesterday.
The central and northern region is currently served by the Upper Rejang Development Agency (Urda), Highland Development Agency (HDA) and Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA).
