The star has stepped in front of the camera to showcase the denim brand’s styles ahead of the back-to-school season, revealing his favourite go-to jeans (which include the Levi’s 511 Slim Fit Advanced Stretch Jeans and the Levi’s 512 Slim Fit Tapered Stretch Jeans).
“I’m so excited to partner with Kohl’s and Levi’s,” said Young in a statement. “This collaboration is a no-brainer for me since I’ve worn Levi’s for as long as I can remember and basically live in them whether I’m touring or at home.”
The campaign sees Young talk about his other favorite things besides jeans, such as his favourite colour and emoji. As of October, Kohl’s will also exclusively stock Young’s lifestyle collection Caliville, which spans graphic tees, fleeces, flannels and joggers inspired by his California roots and career in Nashville.
“Bringing Caliville apparel exclusively to Kohl’s is a dream come true,” said Young. “To me, Caliville represents taking risks and chasing your dreams without letting anyone discourage you, and seeing this message and clothing line come full circle in so many ways is so much fun. I’m so happy this partnership will allow us to keep spreading that message.”
The singer is the latest in a string of music stars to branch into the fashion industry, following in the footsteps of recording artist Lil Nas X, who teamed up with Wrangler for a limited-edition collection for men and women featuring imagery relating to his hit song “Old Town Road” earlier this summer.
Actress and singer Selena Gomez also strengthened her reputation as a budding fashion designer in May, with the launch of her second collection for the sportswear giant Puma, while Dolly Parton also recently announced that she has a lifestyle line incorporating fashion, jewellery, accessories and homeware in the pipeline. – Relaxnews
