KUCHING: Members of Kuching North City Hall (DBKU) Library will be able to borrow up to eight books for two weeks, starting January next year.
Director of DBKU, Dr Morshidi Ahmad said that the initiative is to encourage and promote reading habits among Kuchingites.
He added that for members of DBKU Community Library will be able to borrow up to five books for two weeks.
“In the past, library members were only allowed to borrow up to five books while only two books for community library members,” he said in a statement.
Dr Morshidi also stated that with the increase number of books allowed to be borrowed, he hopes it could attract more visitors to DBKU Library.
“With that, it could create Kuchingites as a knowledgeable society.
“At the same time, the council also play its role as an organisation that is closed with the community and will continue to provide quality services to the people of Kuching,” he said.
