KUCHING: Former two-term Telang Usan assemblyman Datuk Lihan Jok passed away at Miri Hospital today (Nov 16) at 12.42 pm due to kidney complications.
The former Telang Usan assemblyman, 66, leaves behind his wife, Datin Freda Mujan Jok, a Kayan from Long Atip and four children.
The wake will be held at Lot 7513, Sunshine Garden, Jalan Aru, Holiday Park, Miri.
Lihan, a Kayan from Long Bedian, Ulu Sungai Apoh in Baram, served the Telang Usan state constituency from 2001 to 2011 before he was succeeded by current Telang Usan assemblyman Datuk Dennis Ngau.
Lihan was elected by the Sarawak state assembly as a senator in 2011 before being re-elected in 2014 for a second term.
In addition to that, he also sat on the board of trustees of the Dayak Cultural Foundation.
