SIBU: Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh has decided he needs to resign as he no longer has the moral standing to represent PSB in the state Cabinet.
“All my arms and legs have been chopped off, therefore I have to resign,” Soon Koh said at a press conference after the launch of the party at its annual delegate conference (ADC) here yesterday.
However, before he could do that, he would seek the advice of Chief Minister Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“It was him who appointed me. You know the appointment of ministers is the prerogative of the chief minister. Even if I want to leave, I would have to seek his advice as to when and how I leave the Cabinet,” he reiterated.
Soon Koh is in a limbo as his party deputy Datuk Dr Jerip Susil abruptly resigned from the party last Thursday. PSB was also left out in the appointments of new councillors.
Soon Koh, however, said he will remain as party president.
