Tanisha Demour looked like a goddess scorching the ramp in the Limkokwing Fashion Club’s collection. Demour, a Limkokwing University alumni who completed her Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting & Journalism and is riding high as a model and a brand ambassador for several renowned brands. The Malaysian born is also an actress and a title holder of prestigious pageantry titles both in Malaysia and the international stage.
Her debut at the London Fashion Week was a dream come true. “I consider myself to be extremely lucky to be modelling at London Fashion Week and it was an entirely new experience right from the start,” she said. “I must say that London Fashion Week was truly a huge success for Limkokwing University.”
“We were the only foreign university in the world at the show and I got to be part of the crew and modelled at the same time. It was a very prestigious fashion event where all international designers take part to showcase their amazing designs to the world. When I got to know that Limkokwing University will also be part of the show, I couldn’t believe it and felt really honoured to represent my university and my country.”
Demour and another Limkokwing alumni Gabrielle Boudville were clearly among the most versatile models showcasing the designs.
Demour was also proud to wear the designs created by her university colleagues. “The designs were outstanding and very unique in their own way. We had 41 looks all together and each of the looks represented a different culture and tradition. The designs also inculcated Indian, Chinese, Malay and African amongst others. I could see that the audience were very surprised but appreciative of the fact that the designs represented cultures from around the world.”
Tanisha relishes her involvement in the show and was with the team the entire time going through each and every look. Her tutelage under Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim was inspiring and empowering. “Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim truly inspired all of us with her ideas for the show and she wants to show the best to the world.”
