KAPIT: Kapit Lions Club organised a cooking demonstration cum fellowship gathering for its members at the residence of former Foochow Kapitan, Micky Ngu Kiong Siong  at Jalan Airport here on Monday evening.

Micky, who loves cooking, and his wife, Anna Chan,   a  home science teacher at SMK Kapit,  showed the Lions Club members  how to prepare a number of delicacies  including Tiger Prawns.

A contractor and housing developer, Micky said he was happy  his children enjoyed the food he prepared.

“Cooking is fun.   For some dishes, like  how to add favour, I refer  to the cook books. Sometimes, I create  my own version of the ingredients for a change,” he added.

The  cooking demonstration  coincided with  Micky  and his family’s move to a new residence recently.

Among those present at the gathering were the President of Kapit Lions Club, Ong Hwang Seng, incoming President, Ting Bee Eng and several Lions Club members including Councillor Jenny Yu Si Geok, Dr Sia Tik Kong, Evelyn Biju, Stanley Ling Bee Chong, Sia Leh Ching and Wong Ka On.
