Deputy Premier Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian who initially had to officiate at the Lions Nursing Home Annual Charity Food Fair 2022 was represented by Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap, who has agreed to donate RM10,000 to the Lions Nursing Home.

In his speech, he said that the work and effort put by the Lions Home for the past 30 years had been significant and nothing short of extraordinary.

“We can see the quality that the Lions have put into and the administrative work that is there.

“I think that’s fantastic and I hope the next generation will take time to learn from the older generation,” he said.

He was speaking at the Lions Nursing Home, in Jalan Stutong Baru today (Dec 11).

Yap also hoped that more nursing homes would be built to cater for the needs of the elderly to overcome the increasing elderly population.
