KUCHING: The Lions Club of Kuching-Kota Samarahan (LCKKS) brought the festive cheer of Chap Goh Mei to the children of the Sarawak Society for Parents of Children with Special Needs (Pibakat) on Friday.

The club bore gifts and cash donations for the Pibakat children – including a cheque for RM1,500, 80 boxes of face masks, and 35 sets of toys and gift boxes.

The organising chairman for the event, Anthony Chua, who handed over the gifts to Pibakat honorary secretary Ng Kui Choo said the event was made possible through the LCKKS fundraising event earlier this year.

Through this fundraising effort, donations were also made to the Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS).

Thanking LCKKS, Ng said the support, care, and concern from the public was heart-warming and a constant reminder that Pibakat is not alone in its quest to improve the quality of life for children with disabilities.
