MUKAH: Local Liverpool Football Club (LFC) fans celebrated the club’s success in winning the 2019/2020 English Premier League (EPL) title here yesterday.
Some 20 Liverpool fans turned up at Shaff Café here yesterday and Friday (June 26) to jointly celebrate the occasion, in response to an invitation by another fan through social media.

Shafiq, who has been a Liverpool fan since Primary 3, said the event according to the orgainser, was simply to jointly celebrate the club’s success in winning its 19th championship title.
He added the organiser also wanted to express his simple appreciation to Liverpool fans in Mukah. Sponsoring the event was a small act of charity on his part.
To a question, Shafiq said like other fans worldwide, he was also happy in seeing Liverpool emerging as EPL champions after a long 30-year wait.
He added his favourite Liverpool players were Robbie Fowler, Steve Mcnaman, Steven Gerrard and Mohamad Salah.
Shafiq said he thanked the organiser and fans for their support; interior designer Osman Ulis for his creativity as well as his staff and family members for their help and support.
