KUCHING: Lodge International School’s 2022 A-Level cohort has set new records of excellence for the school, with 47% achieving straight As (up 13.1% from the previous year).
Out of 66 students, 28 students achieved 4A/A*s and above, with Brandon Chan Seng Han in particular achieving 5 straight A*s, and 10 students achieving 4 straight A*s.
Despite changes and interruptions to our schedules due to the pandemic, our students were quick to adapt to every situation, and not only achieved excellent results academically, but have also been actively involved in extracurricular activities.
These achievements reflect our students’ grit and resilience, and is representative of the collaborative learning effort at Lodge International School, said a press release.
Result Summary
Sciences
Biology, Chemistry and Physics students all achieved 100% pass rate, with over three quarters of Biology and Chemistry students attaining A/A*s (77.8% and 75.5% respectively), while close to 60% of Physics students achieved A/A*s.
Mathematics
Despite Further Mathematics being a highly specialized subject, 50% of students achieved A/A*s, while 67.3% of Mathematics students attained A/A*s, which is a 13% increase from 2021.
Humanities
In Humanities, there has been an overall increase in A/A* grade achievement for Economics (46.7%), Geography (50%) and Psychology (66.7%). Psychology in particular has a shown a great leap in improvement, with a 29.2% increase from 2021. English Language and Business students continue to maintain a stable performance, with a 100% pass rate. One quarter of Business students also achieved A/A*s.

Lodge International students have gone on to prestigious top universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Hong Kong University, University of Melbourne and many more. ABOUT LODGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Lodge International School caters for students in the British National Curriculum from Year 2 (age 6) through the Cambridge IGCSE Level (age 15 and above) and the Cambridge International A-Level.
