KUCHING: Education is a gift that can never be taken away — and this is evident in the recent achievements of Lodge International School’s A-level students, who have not only gained knowledge but also made history with their outstanding performance.
A-level student David Luk Ku Chian received the Top in the World award for Cambridge International AS Level in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Additionally, Luk earned the Best Across Four award, securing first place in Malaysia for these subjects.
In Mathematics, A-level students Isaac Lee Jin and Kim Gaon achieved the Top in the World Award in the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (Without Coursework).
Lodge International principal Markus said the achievement inspires the school community.
“This is very inspiring for the school and we are grateful for the partnership and collaboration between students, teachers and parents. Together we can sustain the school’s achievements,” he said.
Luk, Lee and Kim were honoured at the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards Ceremony held at the Sime Darby Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur yesterday (May 23).
Deputy principal of A-levels Grace Chung was proud of the students’ recognition.
“We are proud to see our students receiving such prestigious recognition on a global platform as each of them has shown remarkable perseverance and passion for learning, which is truly inspiring.
She praised the award winners for their dedication and hard work, highlighting the positive example they set for their peers.
“Your dedication and hard work have not only brought honour to our school but also set a wonderful example for your peers,” she said.
The school remains committed to nurturing the potential of each student, fostering a culture of academic excellence, and preparing its students for success in an increasingly competitive global landscape.
