MIRI: A total of 119 residents from Tuai Rumah Ningkan, Lembong Suai were made homeless when fire destroyed their 22-door longhouse on Friday.
According to Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA) spokesperson, fortunately, no injuries or casualties were reported in the fire incident.
The longhouse has been in existence since the past 31 years.
A team of Batu Niah firefighters and Batu Niah auxiliary firefighters were rushed to the scene upon receiving a distress call on the incident at 1.45 pm.
The fire was brought under control at 2.30 pm.
