On the gathering, Majang said it was a venue to get feedback from the people on what is happening around them especially on agriculture- related activities.

“It is also a platform to allow the locals to air their grievances and problems to the authorities and find solutions to the problems,” he said.

He also concurred with Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Modernisation of Agriculture  and Rural Economy, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas’s called on the state to diversify its agriculture industry by helping farmers plant more commercial crops to avoid over reliance on palm oil.

Some of the crops the state government is encouraging farmers to plant are pineapples, coconuts, pepper, rubber and durians.  Among those present were Penghulu Chabi Nanggup, heads of departments and community leaders.
