SARATOK: A total of 80 residents in the 21-door Matur Sigan longhouse near Sungai Sebilik, Lubuk Renit Temuduk Awik here, were affected by a landslip last Sunday.
Saratok fire chief Nazry Mohamat said they received a distress call around 9.50am and despatched their men to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found that the landslip occurred in front of the longhouse about 30 metres from the building structure.
There were no casualties reported.
Firemen advised that should the incident happened again, the residents need to move to a safer place and immediately report to the Fire Department for further action.
Firemen only gathered information and monitored the situation, which was deemed as safe.
