Its commander ACP Zulfikar Mohd Ghazali said the male suspect was arrested by Marine police Intelligence Unit at 2.15pm during Ops Landai.

He said the suspect was detained and his lorry was inspected along Jalan Utama, near the Saratok junction.

“The results of the inspection found that the driver failed to submit any evidence or valid documents on the cargo (diesel) he was carrying,” he said.

He added that his personnel confiscated the lorry used by the suspect, diesel fuel amounting to 1,500 liters, fuel pump and fuel tank valued at over RM94,000.

He said the driver and the case items were detained and confiscated under the Control of Supplies Act 1961.
