LIMBANG: Following heavy rains over the weekend, water level at several low-lying areas in this division has risen.

On Monday (Aug 23), three villages here have been affected by floods causing their inhabitants to be stranded at their respective homes.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department said the villages are Kampung Merajang Lubai, Kampung Merambut and Kampung Buang Abai.

Meanwhile, some villagers from a 26-door longhouse at Kampung Merajang Lubai are positive for Covid-19.  The longhouse has 169 people living in it.

The longhouse folk are hoping that the relevant authorities could distribute assistance to the area.
