MIRI: The torso of the 13-year-old boy who was reported missing on Wednesday (May 31) was found by the villagers at 8.25am yesterday (June 2).
 
State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement, said the victim, Augustine Ujang Stewart, who went missing while bathing at the riverbank of Lubuk Mulong, Tinjar Baram, was found about six kilometres away from the area where he reportedly disappeared.
 
According to a witness, only the victim’s torso was found, while his head and limbs were still missing, with the possibility of being eaten by a crocodile.
 
Upon the discovery, his body was transported to his home for identification.
 
After the identification was made, the search and rescue operation ended at 12.10pm and the case was handed over to the police.
