KUCHING: Sarawak Energy has announced the 250 lucky winners of its ‘Go Paperless’ e-Bill Campaign for the first quarter of 2022.

The winners will each receive a RM50 electricity bill cash rebate, credited to their registered electricity contract account and they will be notified via their e-Bill subscription registered e-mail address.

The list of winners is also available on Sarawak Energy’s website at https://www.sarawakenergy.com/media-info/announcements-publications/announcements-lucky-draw-winners-announcement.

“This campaign was launched in 2021 as a way to promote e-Bills to customers which provides a convenient way for subscribers to access, pay and store their electricity bills without the paper clutter at their respective homes.

“Going paperless on bill service is part of the utility’s ‘Go Paperless’ initiative and the move also supports Sarawak Energy’s aspiration to become a digital utility by 2025,” Sarawak Energy said in its press statement yesterday (May 20).

Various initiatives have been introduced to encourage customers to subscribe to electronic bills, reducing the usage of paper and reliance on monthly bill delivery, with this lucky draw, which is held quarterly with a selection of 250 lucky winners, being one of the initiatives.

“To date, 120,000 customers have subscribed to the e-Bill service where the rewards for subscribers include a RM2 rebate on the monthly electricity bills for a period of 12 months upon successful registration.

“Subscribers are also automatically entered into the aforementioned quarterly lucky draws where previous winners will still be eligible to participate in future rounds, as long as they remain subscribed to the e-Bill service and fulfil other eligibility conditions,” Sarawak Energy added.

To subscribe to Sarawak Energy’s e-Bill service, customers may perform self-registration via the ‘SEB cares’ mobile application, which is available in App Store and Google Play, or fill in the registration form via www.sarawakenergy.com.

Customers can also call 1-300-88-3111, email customercare@sarawakenergy.com, or approach the nearest Sarawak Energy’s customer service counters by providing their name, electricity contact account number, e-mail address and mobile phone number.

Upon successful registration, customers will receive their monthly electricity bills via their registered email addresses and will no longer receive physical bills.
