MIRI: The launching of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) logo validates the state’s new political party’s identity.
Sibuti MP Lukanisman Awang Sauni (pic) said, with the new party, it indicates that the state government is moving forward, bringing development agenda under its slogan, “Sarawak first”.
“GPS would serve as an independent political force, and help fight for Sarawak’s rights enshrined under the MA63,” he said.
“There would be no more ‘Big Brother’ definition as we (the Sarawak government), are no longer bound by any of the federal political parties,” he said.
He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johar i Tun Openg, the state’s rights would be protected.
“It’s a leadership that you can trust and rely on,” he said.
“The GPS logo, which features a hornbill, symbolises Sarawak moving forward and ‘flying’ high to bring development agenda to the people,” he said.
GPS logo was launched on Wednesday.
