KUCHING: Deputy Minister of Health, Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni visited several static clinics located at various event venues during the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA) yesterday (Aug 20).

His visit aimed to boost the morale of health workers and volunteers, ensuring they remain dedicated to providing top-notch medical services to athletes and the SUKMA management team.

The static clinics are strategically placed across different sports venues to offer immediate medical attention to athletes in case of accidents or injuries, before, during, and after the competitions.

Among the clinics he visited were the static clinics at the Pandelela Rinong Aquatic Centre, Petra Jaya Archery Range, Sarawak Lawn Bowls Arena, Stadium Perpaduan, Sarawak Squash Centre, Siol Mountain Bike Track (MBT) at Bukit Siol, Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK), and the sports village at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

Also present were Sarawak Health director Dr Veronica Lugah and Deputy State Health director (Public Health) Dr Rohani Mat Bah.
