LUNDU: The construction of the first phase of the Lundu Buddhist Association building has been completed and now fund is required for the construction of the second phase.

In this regard, a brief visit was conducted by the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR) led by its director, Richard Lon along with Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang to the building on Tuesday (Sept 13).

The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) reported that the aim of the visit was to obtain information about the development required, especially in terms of the physical condition of the house of worship.

Both UNIFOR and Billy also visited several temples around Lundu including the Chinese cemetery in Kampung Seketi Cina to take note on the problems faced by the community there.
