LUNDU: Allen Maniam Enggang is the new Bidayuh pemanca for Lundu district.
The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) reported that Allen officially replaced Pemancan London Tasin during the opening ceremony of the ‘Besansam dan Babuis Salako Rara 2022’ workshop at Kampung Pasir Hulu recently.
Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang officiated at the workshop.
In his speech, Billy said community leaders and the local elected representative must work closely and support each other to ensure development continued in Opar constituency.
Meanwhile, the Besansam and Babuis Salako Rara 2022 workshop organised by the Salako Rara Heritage Trail and Treasure Club was held for the first time to preserve the Bidayuh Salako Rara culture.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik, who is also the Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) president, Lundu District Officer Gustian Durani, and Salako Rara Heritage Trail and Treasure Club chairman Tapin Suntoh.
