BINTULU: The Kumang Gawai Bintulu Division 2024 culminated on Friday night at the Dinner World Restaurant where a 23-year old lass, Lyechea Charlie was crowned the winner of the beauty pageant.
With the win, she took home cash prize of RM10,000 along with a tiara, trophy, sash, flower bouquet and certificate of participation.
In addition, Lyechea was also announced as the winner of ‘Ngepan Pemadu Manah’ and received a cash prize of RM2,000 and a scarf.
For the title of Lulong (second place) Kumang Gawai, it was won by 19-year old Jolin Ling. She received a cash prize of RM7,000 as well as a trophy, sash, bouquet of flowers and a certificate of participation.
Meanwhile, Emilia Mujan Kayan, 29, won the title of ‘Selinggar Matahari Gawai’ (third place) and took home RM5,000 along with a trophy, sash, bouquet of flowers and also certificate of participation.
The remaining seven participants consisting of Arabella Sunta Langkan, Jianna Lent Sim Jimbun, Stephanie Abby Beji, Rebecca Lu Yann Ru, Steffy Sharon Saging, Avril Lavigne Siang and Party Sofia Bantin, each received a consolation prizes of RM500 cash, a bouquet of flowers as well as certificate of participation.
As for the fourth to tenth place participants, each took home RM500 as consolation prizes.
All the prizes for the winners were presented by Datuk Sri Loreta Sawot, the wife of the Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development cum Kemena assemblyman, Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi.
