KUCHING: Two legendary singers, Datuk M Nasir and Datuk Hattan, will appear together at a “Sifu dan Aku 38” concert here in May.
The concert which is being organised by Westzone Entertainment and GC Production will be held at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on May 25.
The concert will be held at the Sabah International Convention Centre in Kota Kinabalu on June 1.
M Nasir and Hattan, are best known for hits such as Mentera Semerah Padi, Sahabat Gua, Hati Emas Bonda and Tanya Sama Itu Hud Hud.
“There is meaning and symbolism behind the 38 years in the industry and the word Sifu and Aku as well,” said Nasir.
“Therefore, I am seeing this as a good thing, the combination with Hattan, meeting our fans, will re-embark the marketing of local concerts, and I welcome it wholeheartedly,” he said.
On the other hand, for Hattan, the concert is an epic moment in the local entertainment industry as well as his career.
“This just goes further, no matter how many international singers there are, local entertainers will always have an exclusive space for some fans out there.
“I mean, look at us, 38 years later and we are still relevant in the industry,” he added.
