KUCHING: Facilities at the Sarawak Cultural Village (SCV) and the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) grounds are currently undergoing major renovation.
The renovation is set to be completed in time for the highly anticipated international music festival, which is from July 12 to 14.
Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah said this following viral posts on Facebook that showed certain areas at Damai Central in a rundown state.
“I’m unsure whether these are fake pictures or not. But I do know that the building, structures, facilities at the Sarawak Cultural Village, including the RWMF spots, are undergoing major renovation now,” he stressed.
Yesterday, a member of the public posted on social media, saying he was ashamed of the current situation at Damai Central.
