At Swinburne Sarawak’s Open Day events, students will have the opportunity to meet directly with the university’s academic experts to learn more about the wide range of courses offered by the university.

KUCHING: Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus will hold a series of nationwide Open Day events in May and June.

According to a statement, the programme will allow prospective students to gain first-hand information on Australian education, financial assistance, campus facilities and provide relevant information.

The Open Day series will kick off at Promenade Hotel in Bintulu from 10am to 4pm (May 21).

Following this are Open Day events at Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kota Kinabalu (May 22), The Wembley – A St Giles Hotel in Penang (May 28) and Grand Paragon Hotel in Johor Bahru (May29), all from 12pm to 5pm.

Next, the Open Day will be held at Tanahmas Hotel in Sibu (June 11), and at Pullman Hotel inMiri (June 12), both from 10am to 4pm.

Open Days will also be organised in Kuching (June 11 and June 18), 10am to 4pm, at Swinburne Sarawak Campus along Jalan Simpang Tiga.

“The Open Day events are open to all, especially Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM), Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM), O-Level, A-Level and UEC school-leavers seeking affordable Australian tertiary education closer to home,” the university said in a statement.

Students will have the opportunity to meet directly with Swinburne Sarawak’s academic staff to discover the extensive range of courses offered by the university.

The university also offers various scholarships for foundation, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

“The university will be accepting on-the-spot applications at the Open Days. Eligible students who enrol then and there into Swinburne Sarawak’s 2022 intakes will receive a special mystery gift.

“For the purpose of on-the-spot applications, prospective students are advised to prepare the following relevant documents in PDF form saved in a USB: identification card (Malaysian students) or passport (international students), academic transcripts and certificates as well as
English language proficiency test results (MUET, IELTS, TOEFL or equivalent qualification).

“Eligible students applying for admission will receive a letter of offer on the same day,” Swinburne said.

Swinburne Sarawak is also introducing new programmes in 2022, namely the Diploma of Accountancy, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) Software and Bachelor of Quantity Surveying.
