KUCHING: Yayasan Perpaduan Sarawak (YPS) is organising a community market in conjunction with its 28th anniversary.
The community market will be held over two days on May 21 and 22 at the Kuching Old Court House from 9am to 4pm. Admission is free.
Among the activities for the community market are children storytelling, lino carving, jungle sculpture, art workshops, paper art sculpture and masterclass.
“The programme will focus on Sarawak’s identity model of unity, cultures, and stories aimed at creating intercultural understanding and unity.
“It will be a co-curated space designed by the art practitioners and YPS to enhance the coexistence of unity and harmony within the community through shared experience,” YPS said in a social media post yesterday (May 11).
Through the community market, the public will have the opportunity to interact with art practitioners and engage in an interactive showcase.
The scheduled programme caters to both children and adults.
