KUCHING: The gravel road repair project in Kampung Sungai Kut Muara, which is nearing completion, will make it easier for parents to sending their children to school.

According to the Dalat Service Centre representative, Sait Seman, the road is prone to flooding during high tides or the rainy season.

“We have received complaints from residents in the area because the existing road is quite low and will be submerged during high tides and heavy rain. This, of course, poses a danger to students and villagers who use the road.

“On average, the houses in this area and a Chinese National Type School are located near the river. They are connected by a footbridge,” he said.
